Annalise Enterprise CXR Named “Best New Radiology Solution” in 2022 MedTech Breakthrough Awards Program

Annalise Enterprise CXR has been recognised as the winner of the “Best New Radiology Solution” award in the sixth annual MedTech Breakthrough Awards program conducted by MedTech Breakthrough, an independent market intelligence organisation that recognises the top companies, technologies and products in the global health and medical technology market.

Launched in 2021, Annalise Enterprise CXR is the world’s first AI-powered comprehensive decision-support solution for chest X-rays that detects an unprecedented 124 findings.

The AI model was trained on the world’s largest dataset of chest X-rays (over 821,681 images)  from Australia, Europe and the USA. The results of the validation study were published in a landmark peer-reviewed study, published in the Lancet Digital Health, the largest of its kind ever undertaken in terms of the number of findings concurrently evaluated.

Annalise Enterprise CXR is also the only decision-support AI solution for chest X-rays that analyses up to three images, including lateral images.

“We are thrilled by this recognition from MedTech Breakthrough after the incredible amount of work we have put in to develop a robust algorithm, trained with data hand labelled  by 148 radiologists, that detects a comprehensive 124 findings”, said Annalise.ai CEO Dimitry Tran. “Annalise Enterprise CXR serves as a second set of eyes for clinicians, which when used as an assist tool, improves accuracy of image interpretation in a world of ever-increasing demand for radiological services.”

The mission of the MedTech Breakthrough Awards is to honour excellence and recognise the innovation, hard work and success in a range of health and medical technology categories, including Telehealth, Clinical Administration, Patient Engagement, Electronic Health Records (EHR), Virtual Care, Medical Devices, Medical Data and many more. This year’s program attracted more than 3,900 nominations from over 15 different countries throughout the world.

“The accelerated growth in medical imaging has raised expectations on radiologists to diagnose patients accurately and at speed. One recent survey revealed 26% of medics felt their ability to treat patients was ‘impaired’ and 15% believe a patient was harmed or survived a near-miss as a result of their tiredness – exacerbated by the pandemic,” said James Johnson, managing director, MedTech Breakthrough. “Annalise Enterprise, with its innovative use of AI, helps clinicians by presenting a comprehensive list of findings that are the most clinically necessary and helpful to them in order to better inform patient care.  Congratulations to Annalise.ai’s Annalise Enterprise for being our choice for ‘Best New Radiology Solution.’”
